September 3, 1920 - December 3, 2011 GRIMES, STELLA, 91, passed away on Dec. 3, 2011. She was born in Caldwell, ID on 9/3/20 to Eva and George Thruston, the youngest of 3 children. Stella married Paul W. Grimes on 1/10/43 at the Army Chapel at Walter Reed Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years and her brothers, Harry and Wayne. She is survived by 4 children: William (Jill) Grimes of Craig, CO; Ronald Grimes of Denver; Kathleen (James) Ferris of Ames, IA; and Margaret Nelson of Denver; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Stella was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor. She volunteered at her church and at the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes. Visitation will be Thurs, 12/8/11, 5-7pm; Memorial Service on Friday, 12/9/2011, 11am, both at Green Mountain Presbyterian Church, 12900 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO. Donations may be made to the church or to the Denver Rescue Mission.
