Obituary

Milo Henry Nellis, affectionately known to many as Freak or Uncle Bamm Bamm, passed away on June 2, 2026, in his beloved hometown of Denver, Colorado. Born on August 22, 1962, in the same city where he spent his entire life, Milo was a beacon of warmth and laughter in the lives of everyone who had the joy of knowing him.

A dedicated hard worker, Milo was always there to fix what needed to be fixed with unwavering patience and skill. His hands not only mended objects but also hearts, as he carried a heart of gold that touched all those around him. Known for his loving and social nature, Milo’s extroverted spirit and quick wit made him the life of every gathering. His jokes flowed like a waterfall, never failing to light up any room and bring smiles to faces near and far. His love for animals was evident, as he often found companionship and joy in his furry friends.

Milo’s greatest pride and joy were his children, whom he loved unconditionally. His devotion extended even further to his grandchildren, whom he adored more than anything in the world. Family was at the core of everything he did, and his legacy lives on through the love and values he imparted to his loved ones.

Many cherished memories were made during his favorite pastime—hanging out at the park with his friends and his dogs. These simple moments reflected the essence of Milo’s character: loving, patient, and endlessly generous with his time and affection.

Milo is preceded in death by his siblings, Ramona and Earl. He leaves behind his parents; George and Emma Nellis, his siblings Juanita, Ralph, Francine and George as well as numerous grandchildren.

Though Milo is no longer with us, his spirit remains woven into the fabric of the community and family he so deeply treasured. He leaves behind a world made better by his kindness, laughter, and the unforgettable imprint of a truly special soul. Rest in peace, dear Milo. "It's never goodbye, It's see you later".
