Michael George Cross, father of four children as well as many family friends that became “adopted children”. He is leaving a void in his family that cannot be filled. He passed away peacefully on 1/10/2026 at the Rocky Mountain VA Medical Center after several years of battling cancer. He was 83 at the time of his passing and lived in Northglenn, Colorado.
He was born in Denver, Colorado to Ernest Waldo Cross and Gwendolyn Ela McNickle. He had two siblings, Waldo Cross and Sara Hodges. When he finished high school, he joined the Air Force. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Waldo Cross and his wife, Elizabeth Cross. He is survived by his sister, Sara hodges, his children, Richard Cross (Donna), Ronald Cross, Randy Cross (Lori) and Renee Cross. As well as his grandchildren, Jessica Helm (JR) and their children, Lexie, Gavin (who is expecting a baby that would be his great great grandchild), and Chloe. David Cross (Chelsea) and their children Mila, Kai, Elis, Brialla and Cooper. Michael Cross and Ronald Cross. They will never forget the love he brought into their lives. He will also be missed by many who were friends with him in the RC Flyers in CO and nationwide.
The funeral is on 1/15/2026 at Amazing Grace Church at 3325 S. Federal Blvd. Englewood, CO 80110. The visitation will begin at 9:00am with the service beginning at 10:00am. The burial will follow at 11:30 at Fort Logan National Cemetery at Staging Area White.
