Mary Kathyryn “Kathy” Talamantez, 74, died on October 3, 2026, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Born on February 19, 1952, in Wells, Minnesota. As a child her Father moved the family to Nothern California. She grew up in San Jose and later moved to Long Beach and then to Denver Colorado. Kathy lived a life shaped by learning, meaningful work, and close connection with her parents, siblings and family. She attended Fischer Middle School and Overfelt High School, and later studied at San Jose State University, where she majored in kinesiology. After completing college in Northern California, she moved to Long Beach, California, to continue her studies and begin her career.

With a degree in kinesiology, Kathy became a physical therapist and massage therapist and went on to build her own business. Her talent and dedication allowed her to work with many remarkable people, including the legendary Barbara Streisand. Her professional life reflected both skill and commitment, and she brought that same spirit to the people around her.

Kathy was a genuine person whose life was marked by kindness, friendship, and laughter. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, had a passion for writing, and loved to read. She was also known for her wonderfully sweet voice and for her way of turning ordinary moments into memorable ones.

Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Della; her father, Frank; her brothers, Frank Jr., Reuben, David, Abraham, Patrick, and Jose; and her sister, Glenda. She is remembered by her sister, Linda, and her brothers, Chester and Steve.
