IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lynette Arlene

Lynette Arlene Souther (Green), passed away on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026. She was born on July 5, 1968, in Burley, Idaho, and spent the early days of her life in Great Falls, Montana, before later establishing her home in Lakewood, Colorado.
On October 15, 1988, Lynette married the love of her life, Brent Souther. Together, they built a beautiful life and family, raising four sons: Grayson Souther, Preston Souther (Shelbi Souther), Dustin Souther, and Hayden Souther. She was a proud and devoted grandma to Dristen Souther, William “Liam” Souther, and Brooklyn Souther.
Lynette found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and engaging in loving “banter”. She loved camping and being outdoors—whether it was watching the flames of a late-night campfire, tubing down a lazy river, or riding with Brent on his motorcycle through the beautiful Rocky Mountains. She had a gift for creating warmth and connection, often found decorating her front porch for the new holiday/season or hosting family gatherings where she was famously known for “cooking for an army,” even long after her boys had grown and moved away from home.
She cherished simple, meaningful moments—summer nights filled with music, sitting or preferably dancing on her porch or back deck, surrounded by the people she loved. Music held a special place in her heart, and she often found songs that reflected her life and love, including favorites like “Remember When” by Alan Jackson and “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts.
Lynette had a unique way of making people laugh—often by doing something unintentionally funny and then playfully “tattling on herself.” She had a natural ability to make others feel included, valued, and at ease in her presence. She was truly one of a kind—deeply loved by her family, friends, and community.
She is survived by her loving husband, Brent Souther; her sons and their families; her cherished grandchildren; her mother, Arlene Green; her sister, Laurie Pfau (Larry Pfau); and her sister-in-law, Jane Green.
She is preceded in death by her father, Melvin Green, and her brothers, Stan Green and Steve Green.
Lynette was a thoughtful and loving wife, friend, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother whose presence brought light and laughter to those around her. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In honor of Lynette’s love for music and the memories she created with those around her, we remember her through the words of Alan Jackson in “Remember When”:
“We won’t be sad, we’ll be glad for all the life we’ve had, and we’ll remember when”
