In Loving Memory of Linda LeeAn Hayes {Knight} Sept 10, 1940-August 25, 2025
Linda left this world peacefully on August 25,2025 after a brief illness She was surrounded by family and friends.
Linda was preceded in Death by her mother Dories Hayes, and I am sure she was the first person she hugged when she arrived at the hands of the lord.
Linda leaves behind 8 children Lori {Dave} Darrell, Cristy {Bill} Cindy {Dale} Chuck, David {Jody} Darren {Heather} Brian {Shannon}. Along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She had many friends and most specifically Paula who was her dear friend and was by her side through thick and thin.
Linda was an avid Bowler for many years and traveled to many states to bowl and taught all her kids to bowl as that was a regular Friday and Saturday outing throughout our childhood.
She loved Bingo and the casino, and her dear friend Paula was generally by her side at the casino
Linda worked at Denver News for many years and later in life worked at Mervyns department store.
Linda was a dedicated Mother and would do anything for her kids at any time. If you were lucky to have her as a friend, you had a friend for life, and she would do anything for you.
She was a generous person who genuinely cared about everyone that was in her life. She was outspoken and you always knew where you stood with her.
She loved her Denver Broncos and rarely missed watching a game she would cheer hard for them but when they did bad, she would always say those damn Broncos.
"Linda {OUR MOM} was the best Mother you could ever have who undeniably shaped our lives in many ways and taught us lessons that at times were hard lessons but lessons we used to shape our lives. She loved her kids dearly and worked tirelessly until she passed to try to help us even though we are all grown she would give you her last dime if it meant you could do better. Her smile and stubbornness were her traits, but rest assured she loved with compassion and thoughtfulness and if you were lucky that she touched your life you were better for it. They say hope is a good thing, I hope she is at peace, I hope her mother who she loved dearly was the first person she seen as she entered the gates of heaven, I hope she knew how much we all loved her and how much we all will miss her. Most of all I hope she knows for sure She did good while on earth guiding us all to be the best we can be. Our hearts are broken but our minds are clear about how special she was to all of those who knew her and loved her. Shine down on us Mother your work on earth is done but we will still need you forever to guide us through the rest of ours. We love you forever and a day."
-Lori, Darrel, Cristy, Cindy, Chuck, David, Darren and Brian
