Lawrence Gilley was born June 3, 1930, in Boone, Colorado, to Forrest and Ruby Gilley. On March 20, 2016, he began his final journey, passing peacefully in his sleep. At the age of 18, Lawrence entered the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1952. He met Violet, and they were married in 1958. He was dad to 4 children: April, Ginger, Roy, and Bill. He is preceded in death by wife Violet, son Roy, 3 grandchildren, brother LeRoy, brother-in-law Ed, and both parents. Lawrence is survived by daughters April, Ginger, and Cheri; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, sister Wilda, and sister-in-law Millie. There will be a celebration of his life on April 17, 2016, at noon at the American Legion Post #22, 11081 Irma Drive, Thornton, CO 80233.
