August 15, 1955 - February 25, 2013 Karen Lee Hefner, of Lakewood Colorado, passed away peacefully on February 25th. She was 57 years old. Karen is survived by her mother, Carolyn Allis and sisters Robin Allis and Christine Hudson as well as many other friends and family members. She was a shining star and a good friend and will be dearly missed. Karen was born August 15th, 1955 in Denver. Karen graduated from Colorado State University and worked for Kodak, as a top sales rep, for over 10 years She later worked at Pacific Bell. Karen was married to Cliff Hefner and they lived in California and were expatriates in Australia for 10 years. Karen was a world traveler and visited five continents. Karen was an accomplished diver and loved to golf. She was a great student and loved being on her high school pompom squad. She loved theatre and acting and played in many dramas. As a Colorado native, Karen spent many weekends with her family fishing in Wyoming and Colorado. She was a bright star and a great friend to many. A private memorial service will be held at Karen's home on March 16th at 4:00pm.
