On the morning of April 13, 2016, John passed away peacefully in his home in Arvada, CO after a 20 year battle with kidney disease. John was 65 years old. John Bruno was born in Denver, CO on July 18, 1950. He was the third child of Helen Sigrid and Ralph Eugene Bruno. John loved reading, especially about the Civil War. He collected elephant and Samurai figurines and was fascinated by angels. He owned a freelance court reporting company for 30 years and his favorite sports team was the Denver Broncos. He dearly loved his family and his dog Charlie. John was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Helen. He is survived by his wife Virginia "Ginny" of Arvada, CO, daughter Nadine Bonnet of Arvada, CO and husband Lee; son Nick Bruno of Highlands Ranch, CO and wife Angie, and son Neil Bruno of Arvada, CO and wife Nikki. Together with Ginny, John had 6 grandchildren plus 1 on the way; Cosette, Téa, and Genevieve Bonnet, Jack and baby girl Bruno, and Gabrielle and Madison Curtis. Also surviving are sister Ludeen Layfield and husband Dean and brother Jay Bruno. A funeral service and interment will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, April 29th at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 9200 W 10th Avenue, Lakewood CO. A luncheon reception follows
