December 15, 1933 - May 3, 2012 passed away peacefully at Colorado Lutheran Home on May 3, 2012 at the age of 78. John is survived by his wife of 18 years, Marian Womack-Hammond; children: Catherine (Dan) Moore, Mark (Neneth) Hammond, Matthew (Kim) Hammond, Christine (LuAnn) Hammond and Martha (Gary) Hammond; grandchildren: Corinne, Michael, Stephen, Julie Ann, Mary Ann, Marlena, Kathlyn, Meaghan, Eric and Katie; great-granddaughter: Amaya; brother: Joe Hammond; sister: Gretchen Hammond; nephew: Christian; as well as numerous step children and step grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held for John on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Spirit of Christ Catholic Church,7400 West 80th Avenue Arvada, CO 80003, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, Colorado.
