March 5, 1930  ~ January 5, 2016 James J. Sardakowski ‘Sardi’ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5th, 2016.  He was 85. He was born March 5, 1930 in Denver, the 5th of 7 children.  Jim voluntarily served in the Air Force for a year, was discharged and then recalled when the Korean War broke out. He met his wife, Sally Riney when they both worked for International Harvester Company. They married in 1955 and moved to Arvada.  He spent the next 33 years working for Sundstrand Aviation. In 1972 he and Sally built their home where they raised their 3 children and have lived for the past 43 years. After 33 years with Sundstrand, Jim retired and started his own handyman business.  He became very well known as someone who could get the job done right for a reasonable price. Jim loved to vacation in our Rocky Mountains near Grand Lake and the desert regions of Arizona. Jim is survived by Sally, his wife of 60 years, son Randy and daughters Cindy Christi. Grandchildren Abbie, Matthew, Sarah, Christopher, Cassidy Jessica; 4 great grandchildren.  Sisters Josephine Murray and Jean Glynn.
