April 1, 1931 - May 19, 2011 Gerald W. Ballinger, Sr. "Jerry" 80, Wheat Ridge CO. Born in Denver Colorado on April 1st 1931 and went to heaven on May 19, 2011. Survived by Vaughn, his wife of 51 years, children Dave (Beth), Tresa, Jerry Jr. (Elaine), and Bettie; grandchildren Pam, Scott (Angela), Jeannette, Zach (Jenn), and great grandchildren Scottie, Kyleigh, and Christian. Jerry retired from the Denver Public Schools after 18 years; he also worked for Westinghouse as a machinist/electrician for 10+ years. He served in the Army, stationed in Germany during the Korean conflict. Jerry was a generous, kind hearted husband, father, and grandpa and admired by many friends and acquaintances. Burial service will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery with Military honors on Wednesday May 25, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Collier Hospice Center, 3210 Lutheran Parkway, Wheat Ridge 80033. Reception at 5815 S. Lakeview St., Littleton CO to follow the service.
