Annabelle “Anni” Atkinson Auer, age 92, died at home in Arvada, Colorado, on Sunday, July 2, 2017, from complications of dementia and a fall. Anni was born to Edward Atkinson and Flossie Ralston on November 12, 1924, in Vandalia, Illinois. On April, 18, 1956, she married Lutheran Pastor Thomas L. Auer. Tom and Anni served the Lutheran Church in Illinois, Oregon, Montana, Washington, and Alaska. Anni was preceded in death by her husband, Tom. She is survived by three children, Beth and husband Greg, Jay, and Carl, two grandsons, and one great-grandson. A memorial service is being postponed indefinitely. Service details will be given at a later date. The family requests that memorials in Anni’s name be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org or the American Heart Association at heart.org.
