Obituary

Angela D. Garcia, 'Angie' was born on August 2, 1944, and passed away unexpectedly, at the age of 81, on February 14, 2026, 8:42 a.m. at Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends after her passing. Angie is proceeded in death by her parents, Felix Gallegos, Mabel Garcia, stepfather Roger Garcia, her Son Son, Jose C. Garcia, Granddaughter, Serena D. Aguilar, Brothers Rudolph Gallegos, Roger Gallegos, Sister, Patricia Gallegos, Grandpup Buddy, and several other loving family members. She is survived by her Loving Daughter, Sylvia (Art), Granddaughter Jessica (Kaley), Granddaughter Nicole, Great-Grandson Niko, Sister Rama (Phil), Sister Connie, Brother Gilbert (Liz), Brother Albert (Dawn), Brother Michael (Kathy), Godsons, nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Angie was born in Del Norte, Colorado to Felix Gallegos and Mabel Garcia. She was the oldest of 9 siblings. They moved to Denver, when she was a teenager after the passing of their father. She helped her mom with her 8 siblings who she loved very much. She graduated from Denver North High School, worked, and later married Jose Garcia. In 1971, her daughter, Sylvia was born, and in 1975, her son Jose was born. In 1978, she became a single mom to her two young children. They were her world and she always put them first. We were the three Musketeers!

Angie lived in Arvada, Co for the past 25 years. She worked for Coffee Chef Catering/Blue Sky where she made food to be sold through the food trucks. She did that for over 23 years. She was a huge Broncos, Nuggets, and Rockies fan no matter win or lose. She enjoyed growing up in the 50's and 60's and let me tell you, she was a HUGE fan of Elvis Presley! Even at 81 years old she still moved her hips like Elvis. She really loved cooking, summer barbeques, anything that brought family together, music, dancing, sunrises, sunsets, the moon, just being outdoors, car shows, word search books, math, gambling, scratch offs, and in her younger days fishing, hunting, and camping. Her favorite colors were red, dark green, and yellow. Her most pride and joy were her children, Sylvia and Jose, her grandchildren, Jessica, Serena, Nicole, great-grandchild her Baby Niko, Granddaughter-in-law, Kaley, and her Son-in-law, Art.

Angie's life changed after losing her Son, Jose, but she pushed through and enjoyed life with all of us. She was so beautiful inside and out. She was very loving, caring, respectful, polite, very helpful, and a great listener who wouldn't judge. She had such a sweet soul! She just loved everyone and everyone loved her. Jose and I were so honored that she was our Mama, our Mom. My brother Jose was her Son Son and I was her Weda. Now two of the three Musketeers are in Heaven watching over us and the last Musketeer will keep their legacy going.

We will all miss her tremendously!!!
