Valeria ( Val) Colborg died at home on September 4th , 2016 at the age of ninety. Val is survived by her husband, Charles (Chuck); children, Stephanie Cullen, Ron Colborg, Lynn Bisiar, Kevin Colborg, Craig Colborg, Shawn Colborg, sixteen grandchildren, and eight great grand children, for step-grandchildren and two step- great grandchildren. Val was born on March 15, 1926, at home in Mount Carmel, Illinois. She moved to Colorado in 1948 and married Charles Colborg, on June 17 th 1950 in Denver, Colorado. Her children remember her as quiet, loving, bighearted, empathetic, giving, intelligent, and honorable person who loved god and hated to loose at games. A funeral mass is scheduled for Friday 9th at 10:30 am. at Saint Jude’s Catholic Church, 9405 W. Florida Ave, Lakewood, Colorado, with a reception to follow. The family would like to thank the spouses of our children who stood behind them, our friends, our neighbors who have been so gracious and supportive through very trying times, our home health care persons, Wendy, Angie, Rebecca and Irene and Sharon. We are particularly thankful to Lauren who relentlessly took amazing care of our mother and father, and Ian who visited often and chauffeured them.
